Sideshow: Things click for Leibovitz
Leibovitz, whose snaps regularly grace the covers of Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Rolling Stone, put up as collateral her three townhouses and the rights to every photo she had ever taken. (Yowza!)
In July, Art Capital Group sued, claiming it had the right to recoup the money by selling Leibovitz's real estate and photographs.
"I am appreciative to Art Capital for all they have done to resolve this matter," Leibovitz, 59, said. Details of the extension were not disclosed.
Local actress on HBO
Tomorrow's episode of HBO's Entourage has a local touch courtesy of Daryn Seigal of Washington Crossing. Daryn, who turned 11 yesterday, made her pro acting debut in a scene opposite one of her all-time idols, High School Musical heartthrob Zac Efron."I got the chills and I got really nervous when he introduced himself," says Daryn. "He said to me, 'This is your first time acting, right?' "
It was. And her first time "was amazing," Daryn says. "It was just so cool."
Her dad, Scott Seigal, 42, said Daryn's part was written especially for her by his friend, show creator Doug Ellin.
"We've been best friends since our college days at Tulane," Scott says. "But he wasn't just doing me a favor. Daryn was good. . . . And Zac was a sweetheart to her."
Is Hollywood in Daryn's future? "I don't know," she says, laughing. "I've always loved acting."
Jodie is maybe, perhaps . . .
Genius actress Jodie Foster may have, possibly, perhaps, been dumped by her (reported) lover, Cindy Mort, after an (alleged) one-year romance, the National Enquirer says. Foster, who isn't one to share her private life, made gossip last year when she (reportedly) left her (alleged) partner of 14 years, Cydney Bernard, for Mort. No comment from Foster's reps.
Yes to blood drinkers
The nation's thirst for bloodthirsty hotties grows: Thursday's series premiere of CW's Paul Wesley-starring gothic soap The Vampire Diaries drew 4.84 mil viewers to become the most highly rated debut in CW's history. The previous record of 4.67 mil was set by 90210 in '08.
That Hamilton tan
"I went to Florida when I was about 17 and . . . I went to the beach and no girls hit on me. . . . That night I was crimson and my teeth popped out and my eyes popped out and all of a sudden I connected that with girls and since that day I have been brown." So George Hamilton tells Wendy Williams about his famous tan.
