On March 19, Congreso hosted its 10th-anniversary Gala Latina at the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. Congreso has been providing educational, employment, health, and social services to the Latino community for 38 years. More than 580 attendees enjoyed a cocktail hour, which included dance lessons and a silent auction. Carolina Cabrera DiGiorgio, Congreso board chair, and Cynthia Figueroa, Congreso president and CEO, offered remarks during the celebration, which also included dinner and a live auction. The evening raised $300,000, which will be used to support Congreso's mission to strengthen Latino communities through social, economic, education and health services, leadership development, and advocacy.
