Shapiro says Piers Morgan stands on the graves of Sandy Hook children

A Piers Morgan guest is making waves on the Internet again, thanks to a segment on yesterday's show, during which Breitbart editor at large Ben Shapiro rips into Morgan for his actions in wake of the Newtown, Connecticut massacre. Shapiro accuses Morgan of "standing on the graves of the children of Sandy Hook" to demonize people who disagree with him politically.
Shapiro also brought a copy of the Constitution, which he offered to Morgan as a gift. They debate which political measures are necessary in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre including a theoretical ban on assault weapons and better screening for mental illness.
Earlier this week, the people took notice of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' segment on Morgan's show because Jones went off on Morgan, yelling over him about "suicide mass murder pills."
At one point, Morgan references Alex Jones and Shapiro responds with an emphatic, "Don't lump me in with Alex Jones."
During the segment, Morgan references the Constitution by calling it Shapiro's "little book."
Morgan and Shapiro also take time to discuss the left vs. right nature of the gun control issue after Morgan reads a letter penned (in part) by Ronald Reagan.
I like the part when Ben Shapiro said if his relatives in Europe had AR-15s they wouldn't be ashes now and why doesn't Piers Morgan go after hand guns that kill way more people than assault type weapons .Piers Morgan got spanked and was made to look the the fool he is and yes he is "standing on the graves of the children of Sandy Hook" to demonize people who disagree with him politically. Morgan references the Constitution by calling it Shapiro's "little book." That says so much on how he thinks about the USA.
TimmyDay- When Churchill made his famous 1940 speech: "We shall fight on the beaches...", he said it because he had shipments of weapons coming from the U.S.A., including a large private lend-lease organized by the NRA. Britain was almost completely unarmed because of repressive gun laws. It seems like they never learned the lesson. Soon after the war, all privately held arms, including thousands of the rifles borrowed from NRA members, were seized and detroyed. The people ready to "fight at the beaches" were empty-handed again. - Another titan of history. Believing that the Battle of Britian was won with rifles is like believing in unicorns. What prevented the German invasion of England was the RAF and radar not some geezer with a gun. Lend-Lease was primarily aircraft, ships, land vehicles (and food). In other words, heavy weapons, the kind of stuff an army would use to crush you and your Wolverines should they choose to do so. Of all the arguments for gun ownership, the preventing tyranny one is the most ridiculous.
abendteuer - COMPLETELY agree. Tyranny? Really? Jesus.

Ironic how I'm more scared of those proclaiming to protect my right to own guns than I am about the government taking away our guns... phillyPeteZ
Comment removed.
@ neddyflanders -- unfortunately, people who live by the gun also take down a lot of people who don't live by the gun. Hey, gun nuts, if you want to defend yourselves against the U.S. military, you'll be just as well off using swords and rocks. Why not make the switch today? Edward Creed
@ vote for dickie: Morgan is the Left's version of Limbaugh? I seriously doubt that Limbaugh would ever have an extreme left conspiracy theorist on his show, and that he would then let that guest go on a threatening diatribe for ten minutes, even after a commercial break. Morgan has an opinion, but from what I saw in the Jones interview, he just asked questions. Edward Creed
Shapiro also brought up the gun violence is Chicago (and other large cities where gun violence is a daily ocurrance) and Morgan conveniently dodged the question. However, he said that handguns were okay because people have a right to defend themselves. Sounds to me that Morgan believes a bunch of black kids killing each other is okay. Would he change his tune if they were using assault rifles and not handguns? Shawshank
I laugh at those who question the followings and adherence to a 200 year old document as it pertains to the realities of living in modern society, yet swear by a book of fables that was written 2,000 years ago. Shawshank- They're both wrong, in some formats. Whatever happened to realism? What ever happened to analyzing a situation based on facts and making an educated decision?

The NRA is controlled by fanatic who want people to believe the government is out to 'Take Our Guns Away.'
Nonsense.
No reasonable person wants to ban all guns. But there is no legitimate reason for private ownership of assault weapons.
As far as the 'shall not be abridged' argument. Guns are forbidden on airplanes, in schools, and other public places. I suppose the NRA feels this is unconstitutional.
According to the NRA I should be able to have as many handguns, rifles, assault weapons, as I wish. So should my neighbor across the hall and on the floor below, and there's nothing my landlord can do about it.

Piers Morgan is so condescending. Can you sign that White House petition multiple times to have him deported?...lol lowflyer- Don't deport him. He can play the village fool as long as he likes. Every village needs a fool. DonQ
