ESPN's Brent Musburger apologized over comments he made about AJ McCarron's girlfriend, Miss Alabama Katherine Webb.

During the BCS National Championship game, Brent Musburger spent took some time out of his evening to point America's attention in the direction of Miss Alabama USA, Katherine Webb. Webb is the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron. She's attractive. So, needless to say, America was instantly smitten.

In wake of Musburger's comments, though, ESPN issued an apology indicating that the company believed that Musburger's praise went too far. Webb—during an appearance on a morning television show—said that she thought the apology was unnecessary.

Welp, turns out Musburger feels the same way. TMZ recently caught up with the commentator who basically said, "sorry I'm not sorry."

"Individuals say what individuals say. And corporations do what corporations do," Musburger said ... adding, "Obviously, they felt it was the right thing for them to do."

More PPC, Painful Political Correctness. I'm old and old school, and thank God, I hope it's ok to say that, I won't have to live in your boring PPC world. A man commenting on the looks of an attractive women. Terrible. Who should he apoogize to, the Rosie O'Donnels and rachel maddows of the world? Pathetic.

more lib-inspired political correctness working its way through America's bloodstream. In due time, we'll all be robots, programmed to utter not a word that could possibly be misconstrued or taken to express preference or dislike for anything. What nonsense!

The funny thing is no one was offended. People talked about it on Twitter and that got the ball of fake outrage rolling. Maybe a good guideline is to not gush over an anonymous person who's not in the public eye.

Musburger's shortfalls are much deeper than ogling a beauty queen. He needs to be retired and put out of all our misery.

She'd just be another pretty face if she was walking around Center City. People need to get out more often.

Thank you liberals for slowly infusing our culture with an absurd sense of political correctness. Musberger's comments were completely innocuous and perfectly appropriate.

There is no need to apologize. What he said was fine. It was a compliment and did not go overboard. It was entertaining in a game that was not entertaining. So what's the matter with saying two women are beautiful? I'm sick of all these PC politically correct a$-holes. They are turning this once great country into sheep!!! Plato was right thousands of years ago when he stated "first thing we do is kill all the lawyers".

Musburger's comments were both acurate and appropriate. Hard to understand who would have been offfeded. He's a sportscaster on the air to entertain, and a 70 year old one at that, nothing wrong with an old guy stating the obviouis, she is a very pretty young woman dating a good looking young sports star. If he was making a pass agt her, then ti wuld be creepy.. See example, Hugh Hefner

This is just a continued pursuit by broadcasting companies to remove any type of personality or human emotion out of broadcasts and make them lamer than they already are. There was absolutely NOTHING for Musburger to apologize for. NOTHING!

The only thing Musburger should apologize for is that outfit in the picture with this article.
