Sports and art don’t usually go hand and hand, but the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s upcoming exhibition, The Art of Golf, brings the two together with Scottish painter, Charles Lees’ masterpiece "The Golfers". The exhibition's centerpiece is an astounding seven feet tall and features 54 figures tightly packed “around a two-ball foursome match played on the links at St. Andrews,” according to the museum’s description.

Accompanying Lee’s iconic work at the PMA are related pieces including photographs, sketches, an engraving and even golf equipment. The Art of Golf exhibition aligns with the U.S Open Championships that will take place this June at the Merion Golf Club, in Ardmore Pennsylvania. Find out more about the The Art of Golf by visiting the PMA online.

The exhbit opens March 16, 2013 and goes until July 7, 2013 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
