LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Joan Rivers had a lot to keep her busy before her Sept. 4 death -- including an appearance on Jerry Seinfeld's webseries "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," Seinfeld revealed in a Facebook post on Monday.

Seinfeld shared a text message on the show's Facebook page revealing that Rivers was set to have a guest appearance on the season premiere of the next season. However, the post says that he later got a call from Rivers' reps saying the appearance would have to be postponed due to the throat procedure that preceded Rivers' death.

"I would have loved to have shown another side of her," reads the post, which can be read in full here. "I wanted to tell her how much I admire all she had accomplished, especially in the latter stages of her career."

The text message is dated Aug. 19, nine days before the routine surgery during which Rivers went into cardiac arrest. She died several days later.
