Chris Brown arrested for felony assault

Chris Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault in Washington, D.C. The controversial R&B artist allegedly punched someone in the face during a 4:25 a.m. altercation at the W Hotel near the White House, at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue.  DC police confirmed the report to ABC News.

Brown’s body guard, Christopher Hollosy, was also arrested during the incident in which a 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital.

“Both Mr. Brown and Mr. Hollosy were arrested and charged with felony assault,” said a DC police spokesman.

Brown, 24, is still on probation from his infamous 2009 arrest following a domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He is not eligible for release prior to appearing before a judge, and will be held until court on Monday.

The singer was sentenced to an additional 1,000 hours of community service over the summer when it was revealed that he had falsified his previous community service hours.
