Surrey Senior Services marked its 35th anniversary with a gala and auction, Sailing into the Future, at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square. More than 250 attendees helped raise $90,000 for the nonprofit whose mission is to help seniors live independently at home. The April 2 event included a meet-and-greet with Bob Madonna, Surrey's new president and CEO; mingling with Flyers alumni Joe Watson, Bernie Parent, and Brad Marsh; and honoring Beverly Dotter with the Sondra Speer Scott Inspirational Award. Silent and live auctions, dinner, and a performance by the University of Pennsylvania Glee Club also were part of the entertainment.
