Brain Freeze: Fox News' Steve Doocy is afraid 'Frozen' is a form of emasculation

Also in Tattle: Have you Heard? Depp to wed, ‘Jane Hawking’ may join ‘Star Wars’ and more

IF "AMERICAN SNIPER" can fire a shot in the culture war, why not "Frozen"?

"Frozen"?

Yesterday morning, Steve Doocy, of "Fox and Friends," led off a segment on the megapopular animated movie with the basic premise that its intention was to emasculate men.

(Actually, its intention was to sell a bazillion CDs, DVDs, costumes, coloring books, etc., but why let the free market interfere with Fox News silliness? Although it is true that male testicles get very small when they're frozen.)

Asked Doocy: "Are movies like the Disney smash hit about an ice queen and her sister empowering girls by turning our men into fools and villains? It would be nice for Hollywood to have more male figures in those kinds of movies," he said later in the segment.

See, that's why the "Saturday Night Live" spoof of this show doesn't work. It's already low comedy.

Could Doocy really believe that the problem with children's entertainment coming out of Hollywood is that there aren't enough male heroes? You know, like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, and more? Or Disney cartoons like "Aladdin," "Tarzan," "Toy Story," "Robin Hood" and so on.

Besides, how does an empowered princess emasculate a man? Why can't both sexes be empowered or, Mickey Mouse forbid, share power?

Amber alert

E! News reports that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will wed this weekend after a year's engagement.

People mag says the destination wedding will be on Depp's private island in the Bahamas.

Tattle says the guests invited to this destination wedding will be unique for such affairs, in that they actually will be able to afford to attend.

This will be the first marriage for Heard and the second for Depp. He has two children with ex Vanessa Paradis.

Is Force with Felicity?

Felicity Jones, Oscar-nominated for "The Theory of Everything" but a Tattle fave since her role as Emily Dalrymple in "Hysteria," is the new favorite to star as Princess Leia in a "Star Wars" stand-alone movie to be directed by Gareth Edwards ("Monsters," "Godzilla").

Entertainmentwise.com says Felicity beat out Rooney Mara and Tatiana Maslany for the role.

New Jenner tales

According to an interview with the Associated Press, Bruce Jenner's 88-year-old mother, Esther Jenner, said that she's supportive of her 65-year-old son transitioning to become a woman.

"I never thought I could be more proud of Bruce when he reached his goal [of winning the Olympic Decathlon] in 1976, but I'm more proud of him now. It takes a lot of courage to do what he's doing."

Oh, Bruce, why did you spend so much time watching "Frozen"?
