Former Fox 29 cameraman sues Delilah's

A civil court trial now in its second week pits David Edwards, a former Fox 29 cameraman, against Delilah's Den and bouncer Garrett Hood for assault and battery, negligence, emotional distress and loss of consortium.

The suit alleges Hood "violently and brutally assaulted and battered" Edwards while he was on assignment on Jan. 8, 2013. Sources tell me that Edwards was working on a story with reporter Chris O'Connell about an alleged sexual assault by former Brooklyn Nets player Andray Blatche, who was later cleared of wrongdoing. My sources also added that Edwards and his wife and co-plaintiff, former NBC10 reporter Claudia Rivero, are seeking in excess of $50,000.

Attorneys for the plaintiff and defense did not return calls for comment.

Angelo Cataldi's contract has been renewed at SportsRadio 94.1 WIP. Cataldi told me there are three- and five-year options on his contract. But after that?

"I figure that'll probably be it for me," said Cataldi, with the station since 1990. "I think someone else should get a chance after this one. I definitely wanted to hang around a while longer because I just got to make it long enough for the Eagles to win a Super Bowl. Then I'll see what I needed to see . . . I've always had this fear the year after I left, they'd win a championship. That's the ultimate goal. I would love to see them do it and I think with Chip Kelly they can."

Marc Rayfield, senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Philadelphia, in a statement called Cataldi a "Philadelphia radio legend."

Al Morganti and Keith Jones' contracts have also been renewed. Rhea Hughes is on a different contract schedule, so she'll stay with the team as per usual.

South Jersey's own "Bridezilla" and "Wedding Bootcamp" stars Remy and Rob Maaddi decided not to go forward with a TLC reality series about their lives because it wasn't right for their daughters, Alexia and Melina. But Remy was recently cast in a new show, "Christian Wives Unashamed." She'll film the pilot next fall.

In the meantime, the Maaddis will host their annual toy drive on Sunday at the Palace (109 N. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, N.J.) at 3 p.m.

Philadelphia magazine writer Victor Fiorillo was surprised to find his work and byline on the Huffington Post, considering he's never been employed (or paid) by the website.

On Tuesday, HuffPo used a large portion of his story about the alleged Center City gay bashers being held on charges. They justified the media theft through their policy of "linking out." A HuffPo rep told Fiorillo the policy sends 99.9 percent of Web traffic to the original site.

Tim Haas, Philly mag's digital editorial director, said that as of Wednesday, HuffPo had sent just 1,100 views to Fiorillo's piece — only 1.5 percent of the total views on the story.

A request for comment from the Huffington Post was not returned.

* Doylestown Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Samantha Hoopes was in town on Tuesday for the Philadelphia Style magazine party. Hoopes was the mag's December covergal. Before the party, she dined at High Street on Market (308 Market St.). Then she partied the night away at the Downtown Club (600 Chestnut St.) in a gorgeous Michael Costello couture gown, with hair and makeup by Robby Nelson and Laura Devlin of Giovanni & Pileggi.

* Eagles QB Matt Barkley spoke at a screening of the Angelina Jolie-directed film "Unbroken." Barkley talked with the Ritz East crowd about his friendship with the movie's subject, Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner and WWII prisoner of war who faced incredible odds to survive his time in a Japanese camp. The two met while Barkley was a student at USC. "Unbroken" hits theaters Dec. 25.

* Eagles Todd Herremans, Jason Kelce and Mark Sanchez hit Dick's Sporting Goods (2130 Route 70 West, Cherry Hill) yesterday to play "Shopping Consultants," giving the kids of the Leprechaun Sports Association of Philadelphia a shopping spree
