HOWARD RUBIN is suing CBS3 for defamation after the station ran a report saying that he molested an underage boy at the charter school where he was employed as a guard.

Rubin previously acted as a security guard for various hip-hop stars, including the Notorious B.I.G., Junior M.A.F.I.A and Lil' Kim.

According to the suit, filed Sept. 29, anchor Chris May reported that Rubin was fired "over accusations of child sexual abuse" of an underage male student at Multi-Cultural Academy Charter School. A picture of Rubin appeared on-screen with the word "suspect" underneath.

The following day, according to the suit, CBS3 retracted the story after the principal of Multi-Cultural Charter said that there were no allegations against Rubin, but that his contract had not been renewed. The story stayed up on cbsphiladelphia.com for two more days, according to the suit.

When I reached out to CBS3 yesterday, a rep said they had not received the lawsuit yet.

"[Rubin] has not been able to secure employment, someone threw a rock in his car in his neighborhood," said Derek A. Steenson, Rubin's attorney. "It's worse when they say this about a man, for some reason, that's just how humanity is. They put this guy's face up on the news and put 'suspect' underneath and he got fired for doing the most heinous thing you can accuse a man of doing. He's broken up as any rational man would be."

Rubin is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

From SI to Philly Style

Doylestown's own Samantha Hoopes will grace the cover of this month's Philadelphia Style magazine. The local beauty is recognizable to fans of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition (so, anyone attracted to the female form). She was in their 50th anniversary edition as one of their rookie models (it was only her second pro-modeling gig). The striking former Penn State student is also a model for Guess. Fans of MTV will get to check out Hoopes more in depth this winter when she starts her gig as a correspondent for MTV's "Guy Code."

'Dancing' Trio

Philly's own Time for Three appeared on last night's "Dancing with the Stars," performing their own arrangement of Calvin Harris' "Blame" to accompany a dance by "Pretty Little Liars" actress Janel Parrish and pro Val Chmerkovskiy. Rumor has it that Parrish and Chmerkovskiy are an item.

'Barn' stormer

Bucks County's own Sean Tracy will star in "Barn Hunters" on the Great American Country channel, premiering tonight at 9 p.m. Tracy and his team crisscross the country on the lookout for old barns to spruce up and restore into truly new creations.

Zeoli welcomes son

Congrats to 1210 WPHT's Rich Zeoli, who welcomed son Patrick Michael Zeoli with wife, Brigid, on Nov. 11, Veterans Day.

It's been a big couple of weeks for Zeoli. Late last month, he was named the 3 to 6 p.m. drive-time host on WPHT, replacing Dick Morris after years of putting in his dues doing fill in work.

* Actress Isabella Rossellini stopped by the Mutter Museum (19 S 22nd St.) on Friday while in town for her performance project Green Porno, at the World Cafe Live.
