* OLIVE KITTERIDGE. 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, HBO.

Oscar winner Frances McDormand ("Fargo") gives a sly, finely tuned performance as the difficult title character in a two-night adaptation of Elizabeth Strout's Pulitzer-winning novel. A Maine schoolteacher who's incapable of not speaking her mind, Olive is more interesting - and often funnier - when she's depressed than most of the happier people around her will ever be. Richard Jenkins also shines as the husband who loves her without, perhaps, ever fully knowing her.

* SURVIVOR'S REMORSE. 9 p.m. Saturday, Starz.

In the latest episode of this smart (and funny) LeBron James-produced show about a young basketball star, Cam (Jessie T. Usher) and Reggie (RonReaco Lee) disagree about someone from their past who's just out of prison. Meanwhile, Cam's mother (Tichina Arnold) tries to make a real-estate deal.

* SKYSCRAPER LIVE WITH NIK WALLENDA. 7 p.m. Sunday, Discovery.

Honestly, if I get sucked into watching another of Nik Wallenda's walks on the wild (and windy) side - this one between Chicago skyscrapers that lie blocks apart - I'll be seeing most of it through the occasional gaps between the fingers covering my eyes. Maybe you can just tell me when he's finished?

* THE GOOD WIFE. 9:30 p.m. Sunday, CBS3.
