1 PUMP UP YOUR KIDS' BRAINS

Encourage your kids to flex their brain muscle daily by staying physically active most days of the week. Every day, encourage your child to stay physically active with play for a minimum of 60 minutes.

2 YOGA

Yoga can be a great tool in the home or school. Challenge your child with a yoga vinyasa flow as well as teach the benefits of mindfulness and meditation.

3 JUST SAY NO TO SATURATED FATS

As much as you can, replace the bad fats in your child's diet with good monounsaturated fats and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are found in such foods as avocados, nuts and salmon.

4 POETRY SLAM

Get your elocution on, while simultaneously memorizing your favorite poem, sonnet or soliloquy.

5 BOARD-GAME BRAIN BOOST

Make one night a week family board-game night. Cut off the boob tube and engage your kids in a fun game that will sneak in a little brain boosting, too. Scrabble, Clue, checkers, chess, Monopoly, Life and even Twister are great choices.
