Philadelphians on the Radio

Sunday at 1 p.m. on WRTI-FM (90.1) hear Week 2 of January's Tchaikovsky celebration. Under associate conductor Cristian Macelaru, the Philadelphia Orchestra's principal cellist, Hai-Ye Ni, is the featured soloist, performing Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme with the orchestra. Also on the program: His lyrical Serenade for Strings, as well as Polovtsian Dances from Borodin's Prince Igor, and the orchestral version of Balakirev's daunting Islamey.
