Love Hewitt, Winslet both expecting

WORKING IN A massage parlor has led to a happy ending for Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The star of "The Client List" is pregnant and expecting her first child. The father is co-star Brian Hallisay, who plays her husband in the show.

Us Weekly was the first outlet to read the sonogram.

"We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," the parents-to-be said in a statement.

A source told Us Weekly that Jennifer is about three months along. This will be her first child.

* Also pregnant is Kate Winslet.

Kate has a 12-year-old daughter, Mia, from her first marriage, to Jim Threapleton, and a 9-year-old son, Joe, from her second marriage, to director Sam Mendes. Baby No. 3 is with her third husband, Ned Rocknroll.

They're also thrilled.

Amazon.com and Viacom said yesterday that they reached a deal on an expanded multiyear digital-video licensing agreement that will bring hundreds of shows from Viacom's Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and other channels to Amazon's video-streaming service.

The deal comes just days after the expiration of Viacom's licensing deal with Netflix.

As part of the deal, Amazon's Prime Instant Video service will now offer unlimited instant-streaming access to children's shows such as "Bubble Guppies," "The Backyardigans" and "Blue's Clues," along with MTV and Comedy Central shows like "Awkward," "Tosh.0" and "Workaholics."

The Amazon service also will show future episodes of "Dora the Explorer," "Fairly OddParents" and "SpongeBob SquarePants."

Russia is looking for a face to promote its weapons industry, and the face it's targeted is that of Steven Seagal.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said the action movie star may head up an international marketing campaign to promote the Degtarev arms plant, Russian news agencies reported. Rogozin accompanied Seagal on a visit to the plant yesterday.

"You're ready to fight American [manufacturers] with your teeth and your intellect, and if Americans are prepared to promote and support you, that says we're learning new ways to work on corporate warfare markets," Rogozin said.

Something must have gotten lost in the translation.

According to TMZ.com, Miguel was told not to leap across the stage at the Billboard Music Awards, but the singer did it anyway and the young woman who took his leg to her head may have suffered brain damage, her lawyer said.

Vip Bhola, the lawyer of victim Khyati Shah, said, "Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury."

Bhola says the BMA's response to the accident was pathetic, providing only an ice pack. He insists that Shah should have been rushed to the hospital.

Bhola told TMZ.com that after Shah gets back her tests, they will decide whether to sue.

Filmmaker Ken Burns announced yesterday that he's collaborating with Siddhartha Mukherjee, author of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, for a film based on the book. The documentary, spread over three nights, is scheduled to air on PBS in spring 2015.

They're collaborating with Stand Up to Cancer, an advocacy group co-founded by Katie Couric, to prepare an educational outreach program to go with the documentary.

Burns' mother died of cancer when he was 11, and he said that that experience has guided his life's work. Couric's husband, Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer in 1998, and her sister Emily died of pancreatic cancer in 2001.

* Playboy Radio, which as a concept seems counterintuitive, wants Amanda Bynes to co-host a show, eonline.com reports.

Amanda has not yet lashed out at them on Twitter.

* Singer/former U.K. "X Factor" judge Tulisa Contostavlos was arrested yesterday on allegations of supplying hard drugs.

The arrest came after the London Sun ran a story claiming that Tulisa, who came to fame with the London group N-Dubz, had acted as a go-between in a cocaine deal.

Tulisa was recently replaced as a judge on the British "X Factor" by Sharon Osbourne.

* Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum have named their baby daughter Everly.

Everly needs a brother.

* Scott Weiland has countersued his former bandmates in Stone Temple Pilots, claiming that they had no right to expel him and shouldn't be allowed to perform with a new lead singer.

Weiland's suit was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, one week after his former collaborators sued to get him to stop using the band's music in solo performances.

Weiland's case claims that the ouster is damaging to his solo career. He is seeking more than $5 million in damages.

"How do you expel a man from a band that he started, named, sang lead on every song, wrote the lyrics and was the face of for 20 years, and then try to grab the name and goodwill for yourselves," Weiland's complaint states. "You don't, but three of the instrumentalists from the band Stone Temple Pilots tried."

* Charice Pempengco, a Filipino singer who played an exchange student in "Glee," says she's a lesbian and has apologized to her family in an emotional TV interview.

Her mother and brother seem not to have taken the news as well as Kurt's dad.
