MAYBE HAVING all the toys isn't the best idea.

As my buddy Chuck Darrow wrote about in these pages Wednesday, NBC 10 recently debuted a new helicopter called SKYFORCE 10 (all caps!) But on a Tuesday broadcast, reporter Christine Maddela and her crew got more than they bargained for: some doggy porn.

Maddela was reporting on an alleged dogfighting ring in Germantown when the camera zoomed in on the backyard only to catch one dog mounting another.

Bow chick-a wow wow.

"You can see that one dog is . . . uh . . . chained up . . . , " Maddela said, trying to draw focus away from the copulating pooches. The camera then zoomed out quickly.

Serious props to Maddela and anchor Tracy Davidson, though. They kept their composure throughout the incident, even though I (and I suspect most of you, too) wouldn't have been able to control my guffaws. Maddela and Davidson kept it cool, calm and professional.

Oz, hot and bothered

Frank Dietl, 76, of Southampton, Burlington County, is suing Dr. Mehmet Oz for an insomnia remedy gone bad.

Dietl named Dr. Oz, ZoCo Productions, NBC Studios, Sony Pictures Television and Harpo Productions (that would be Oprah's company) in the suit, filed in the New York Supreme Court.

Dietl claims that on the April 17 episode of his show, "Dr. Oz," the doc, who doesn't just play one on TV, advertised a "24-Hour Energy Boost." But instead of giving Dietl energy, the "knapsack heated-rice footsie," as Dr. Oz called them, allegedly gave Dietl third-degree burns on his feet.

Dr. Oz told viewers who suffer from insomnia that they should fill up socks with uncooked rice and then heat the socks in a microwave. Wearing the toasty rice socks helps promote sleep. But, the suit claims, Dr. Oz did not properly warn the home audience (that would be Dietl) of the dangers associated with the remedy for those "with neuropathy of the lower extremities," or damage to nerves that causes numbness or pain in the limbs. Dietl's neuropathy is caused by diabetes, according to the suit.

The suit says Dietl was left "severely injured, bruised and wounded" and "sick, sore, lame and disabled." He's seeking damages for negligence.

Fun fact: Dietl's brother is Bo Dietl, the former NYPD detective and media personality who has appeared on Fox News, "The Daily Show" and "Imus in the Morning," and who is the tough-talking spokesman in Arby's commercials.

Neither Dietl's attorney nor reps from the "Dr. Oz" show returned my calls for comment.

It goes to '11'

Philly's own Breaking Glass Pictures is the distributor behind "K-11," the directorial debut of Jules Stewart, a/k/a Kristen Stewart's mom. Unfortunately, the Philly screening fell through, but you can catch "K-11," featuring "ER's" Goran Visnjic as a record producer who finds himself incarcerated in a section of an L.A. jail reserved for the gay community, in Comcast's Video OnDemand section.

New to QVC

Kevin Gatto, hair stylist and co-owner of Collingswood's Verde Salon, has booked a regular gig on QVC. He's the new spokesman for heated-styling tools company FHI Heat.

Sudeikis spoke at Penn on Tuesday, coming in by train to 30th Street Station. Joining Sudeikis was newly minted fiancee Olivia Wilde, who I hear was looking simple and flawless.

Bam Margera's uncle, Vincent "Don Vito" Margera, who joined his nephew on "Viva La Bam," partied it up at South Street's Boyler Room recently with nephew Wayne. The duo apparently left and came back several times, sipping on Jack Daniels and beers. During the day, Wayne got tattooed, inking his uncle's name on himself during their celebratory day. My tipster praised Don Vito, saying he was an excellent tipper.
