ABOUT 100 EXTRAS and crew members who worked on "Silver Linings Playbook," shot in Ridley Park and Upper Darby last year, turned up Tuesday night at the AMC Marple 10 for a sneak peek at the film.

The film, starring Rydal native Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Jennifer Lawrence, opens Nov. 16. The Delco crowd roared when Archbishop Prendergast was shown on screen as a school where Cooper's character used to work. The film also prominently features the Llanerch Diner on East Township Line in Upper Darby, which serves as a location for a Cooper/Lawrence date.

Meek Mill's drug test

Rapper Meek Mill made a quick stop in town Monday for a probationary drug test ordered by Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley.

Assistant District Attorney Noel DeSantis told the court that Philadelphia police claimed to have detected the odor of marijuana wafting from the Range Rover in which Mill, a/k/a Robert Williams, was traveling when stopped by police Halloween night at 11th Street and Girard Avenue.

No drugs were found in the car, and no passengers were arrested.

The North Philly native had missed a court date earlier that day and was believed to be stuck in New York following Hurricane Sandy. He was stopped while heading to Philadelphia International Airport to board a private plane to a concert in Atlanta.

Brinkley rescheduled Mill's routine probationary hearing for Nov. 19 at the Criminal Justice Center. He is on probation from a 2008 gun conviction.

Alex's aids runners

The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was able to accommodate nearly 100 people who were registered to run in the New York City Marathon, which was cancelled due to Hurricance Sandy, in its Team Lemon squad for the Philadelphia Marathon on Nov. 18.

Mayor Nutter this week opened up registration for the sold-out Philly race to 3,000 runners who were displaced by the NYC cancellation.

For Team Lemon, each runner had to raise $500 for the childhood-cancer charity, which holds its annual 5K Run/Walk & Kids' Dash, the Lemon Run Philadelphia, at 8:30 Sunday morning at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park. Registration is still open for $30 per person or $15 for those 10 and under.
