Uggie: My Story

. Although he has a surfeit of talent, Uggie hired a writer,

Wendy Holden

, to pen the tome. ("As barked to" Holden, the cover says.)

"There's just something about Uggie," Holden tells USA Today. "He was born to be a star. The fact he ended up being a dog is sort of by-the-by." Uggie's trainer, Omar Von Muller, 50, concurs. "Uggie is a true star," he says. Among the book's shocking revelations: Uggie is besotted with Reese Witherspoon, who plays Pattinson's lover in Water for Elephants, a tragicomic circus tale. "I adored her," Uggie writes. "At the ripe old age of 56 in human years I had fallen in love for the first time . . . and boy did I fall."

Did Reese reciprocate? You'll have to read the book.

More trouble for Lindsay Lohan?

Lindsay Lohan, who dug herself out of a years-old legal bind just a few months ago, appears to be sinking back in. In the latest, TMZ reports that police on Wednesday had to break up a fight between the 26-year-old Liz & Dick star and her mom, Dina Lohan.

Nassau County Police Inspector Kenneth Lack says officers were called to DiLo's home in Merrick, Long Island, but left after finding "no criminality." Who called the cops? LiLo's dad, Michael Lohan!

MiLo tells Hollyscoop.com that his daughter pleaded for him to call police. "[Lindsay] even asked that I record the conversation because she was being held against her will by the limo driver at Dina's instruction," adds Michael. The New York Daily News says the issues the two women fought over include a $40,000 loan LiLo made to her mum, which DiLo never paid back.

LiLo's troubles are multiple: She made headlines two weeks ago when she accused a man of assaulting her in a hotel room; last month, she allegedly clipped a pedestrian with her car; in the summer, she was involved in a car accident.

Her rep has refused to comment.
