He communicates with a big smile

Angel has a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. He loves being around people. The 8-year-old is happiest when he is spoken and sung to. He loves having his face painted. Other favorite activities include art, music, being outdoors, and watching movies.

As a result of medical issues, he is dependent upon others for care and uses a wheelchair. He is nonverbal, but he communicates his feelings. When he is happy his face glows with a smile, and he purses his lips to blow a kiss.

Angel attends a school where he receives special-education services. He participates in classroom activities by using switch-activated toys. Attentive to his surroundings, he can track objects and people.

The ideal family for Angel would be patient, loving, and willing to advocate for his medical, physical, and educational needs.
