In "Takers," the character played by T.I. has just been released from prison, a role the rapper recently played in real life. The 30-year-old rapper was released in March after serving 10 months on a federal weapons charge.

T.I., who, besides acting in "Takers," also helped produce the film, has been busy implementing a marketing strategy for both the movie and his new album, "King Uncaged."

And if that's not enough to keep him busy, then there's his new gig as Global Creative Consultant for Remy Martin cognac. He became the brand's new face in late June.

T.I. sat down with the Daily News earlier this month to answer questions about his busy life.

Q: What made you want to get involved with this movie?

A: I read the script and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was an easy read, so I was definitely interested. Once they introduced the opportunity of me being involved as a producer as well as an actor, that was the selling point.

Q: What were your responsibilities as producer?

A: Everything from casting to just making sure that everything on the pages came to life on the screen. After the film was finished, I was approving the edits and ideas for marketing and promotions.

Q: Is your new album, "King Uncaged," finished?

A: We are at the final stages of production. We took some time off to dedicate the necessary time and attention to the film. We didn't wanna steal any thunder or hold back any punches with successfully presenting this project to the world. As soon as it releases we will definitely resubmerge ourselves into completion of the album.

Q: Keri Hilson is featured on the single "Got Your Back." Any other collaboration?

A: I did 100 or so songs and a lot of collaborations. We don't know exactly which ones out of the 105, which 13 or 14, will make the cut.

Q: Your clothing brand, A.K.O.O., stands for A King of Oneself. What type of man wears A.K.O.O.?

A: A gentleman of leisure and style.

Q: Anything new with the brand?

A: The fall 2010 line is in stores. We are diversifying and trying to grow as a brand to make sure that for every scenario, every holiday, and every circumstance that a man of style can define himself in.

Q: What is your first line of action as Global Creative Consultant for Remy Martin?

A: We are about to do a limited edition VSOP coming soon. We are going to do a collector's bottle of VSOP available for a limited time. The King Collection, if you will.

Q: Will your face be on the bottle?

A: I am in the process of designing the bottle. Maybe my face and likeness of some sort.
