Sideshow: Jolie, babies leave hospital

Before the sun rose on Saturday, Angelina Jolie and her twins slipped out of the hospital on the French Riviera where they had been sequestered since Angelina delivered the young'uns, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, a week ago, according to an Associated Press report.

It was not clear whether Brad Pitt, the twins' father, took part in the stealthy maneuver. The 33-year-old mama, who delivered by cesarean section, and the babies are doing well, reported the Fondation Lenval hospital in the city of Nice.

Jolie and Pitt, 44, have four other children - Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2. Before Jolie checked into the hospital in Nice, the family set up a household in Correns, 60 miles away.

 

DMX busted in Arizona

Rapper DMX was arrested Saturday in Phoenix on suspicion of using a phony name and Social Security number to skip out on a hospital bill, the AP reports.

The 37-year-old DMX (born Earl Simmons) stiffed Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic in April by using the alias Troy Jones to avoid paying a $7,500 bill, according to the Maricopa County sheriff's department. The performer's attorney declined to comment.

 

Debbie Harry: Blondie 4-eva!

"Are you trying to tell me something?" So says Debbie Harry, 63, when asked if her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group, Blondie, would ever retire. "I love writing songs and performing. . . . I guess it's all about demand and whether there will still be an audience for Blondie," the singer tells the BBC. "I feel as though I'm better at it now than I ever was and enjoy it more."

 

Fergie's first will be 'Nine'

Black Eyed Peas temptress-chanteuse Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson) has landed her first major leading part in a motion picture in director Rob Marshall's ensemble musical, Nine. Fergie will share the spotlight with a flock of accomplished female thesps, including Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Marion Cotillard.
