Top reggae at theTrocadero

Discussions of influential reggae bands usually begin with the late Bob Marley's Wailers. These days, that discussion must include Morgan Heritage, composed of five of reggae icon Denroy Morgan's children.

Bubbling under the radar for years after its 1991 inception, Morgan Heritage earned worldwide attention with its 1999 hit, "Don't Haffi Dread," which became controversial in more-orthodox Rastafarian circles for its view of dreadlocks.

Blending urban American sounds into their traditional base of Caribbean elements, Morgan Heritage has found success with consecutive albums "Full Circle," "Live: Another Rockaz Moment" and the just-released "Mission In Progress." Rising reggae artists Laza and Wareika Hill are also part of this show.
