"Saving Nadia," The Inquirer's three-part series about a little girl treated for liver disease at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, drew an outpouring of calls, e-mails and posted comments.

"We in the Philadelphia region are so lucky to have such wonderful health care available to children," wrote one reader.

This unique response referred to Nadia Kadi's primary physician, pediatrician Elizabeth Rand: "I knew that my daughter Dr. Rand was a serious and dedicated doctor, but your series on Saving Nadia has given me a richer and completer picture of her working life than I have ever had before."

Many others echoed this one: "I felt myself in the waiting area with the Kadis as I waited for the next segment to be published in the paper. My thoughts and prayers are with Joe, Allison and Nadia."

Many more comments are posted with the articles online. Last week's full package - audio slide shows, Q&As with the physicians, video of a recent checkup, and background about the series - remains live on the Web.
