Sideshow | Star tells all? Fat chance

Never have so many, for so long, entertained such a fateful question: How did Star Jones Reynolds lose so much weight and keep it off? Never one to miss a chance at self-promotion, Star says you can find the truth in an essay she wrote for Glamour mag (due out Aug. 8). Out promoting her Court TV talk show, Star said the (very ironically titled) piece, "Getting Over Myself," details "the way I've changed physically over the last 10 years on the air." So, how did she change?

Never have so many, for so long, entertained such a fateful question: How did

Star Jones Reynolds

lose so much weight

and

keep it off? Never one to miss a chance at self-promotion, Star says you can find the truth in an essay she wrote for Glamour mag (due out Aug. 8). Out promoting her Court TV talk show, Star said the

(very

ironically titled) piece, "Getting Over Myself," details "the way I've changed physically over the last 10 years on the air." So,

how

did she change?

Star gave nothing away during the promo appearance. She's always claimed she lost more than 100 pounds through diet and exercise. Her detractors claim she's had gastric bypass surgery.

So, will the Glamour piece resolve the issue? Will Star come clean and reveal everything? Don't bet on it.

Free and clear from rehab

Lindsay Lohan

is liberated!

And in so many ways . . .

People says the celebrated actress left the luxurious seaside Promises rehab in Malibu on Friday after - successfully :-) - completing 45 days of treatment.

Using a creepy verb, People says Lindsay has transitioned into a rigorous outpatient program that includes regular urine tests, daily meetings and therapy.

Funky bracelet for a fun girl

But my gal ain't done proving her commitment. Lindsay has also decided to wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, a creepy device that tests the vapors that pass back and forth through the skin (

eeew!

) to measure if alcohol has been consumed - and how much.

Lindsay is a strong woman: She went out clubbing Saturday at the infamous Pure Nightclub in Vegas. She drank those icky power drinks and she was, like, almost proud everyone could see the bracelet.

Free & clear - and nude?

In less happy news, poor Lindsay claims a hacker broke into her computer, lifted nudie shots of her taken by her former Brit boytoy,

Calum Best

, the do-nothing former fashion model who's famous for being the son of sports legend

George Best

.

The New York Post says Web site celebslam.com claims it has the shots and says it may post them on the Web. Lindsay's rep is, like, "I know nothing about it, but her lawyers have been contacted."

Destiny's heat stroke?

Former

Destiny's Child

chanteuse

Kelly Rowland

is doing just fine now. But things weren't so fine on Sunday when Kelly was felled by dehydration even as she was onstage plying her magic at the ThisDay Music Festival in Lagos, Nigeria. But no worries: Kelly's fine.

Romijn off the market

My (fantasy about a) love affair with

Rebecca Romijn

has come to a screeching halt: People mag says the talented actress wed

Jerry

"Vern TessiJo"

O'Connell

, 33, on Saturday in Lalaland. (Vern was the name of the then 12-year-old Jerry's character in

Stand by Me

.)

The 6-foot-3 Jerry, who fenced sabre at New York University, hit a career high in '99 playing Mariah Carey's cheatin' boyfriend in her high-budget video for "Heartbreaker." This is his first marriage. Romijn, 34, a star of ABC's smash hit Ugly Betty, was previously married to another Really Nice Guy, John Stamos.

Duff: An unbalanced diet

Hilary Duff

is the latest young starlet to speak up about dieting - and dispel ugly rumors she suffers from an eating disorder.

Hilary tells Shape mag her figure shrank after she and a friend tried a no-carb diet: "We started eating only protein and veggies. No bread, no desserts." Haylie's 19-year-old sis says, "I wasn't starving myself, but I wasn't eating a balanced diet and I did get too thin."

Hilary, who has already distinguished herself in Cheaper by the Dozen and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, says she wants a big film career on top of someday getting married and having rugrats.

"I hope that by the time I'm 40 I'm making movies and being creative," said Hilary, who simply adores doing Pilates.

Ripa opens up her

Rebecca and John could learn a thing or two from the best married couple ever,

Kelly Ripa

and

Mark Consuelos

. (Why didn't the stork bring me to

them

?)

In an interview with Redbook, which calls the South Jersey native sassy (why?), Kelly, the beloved cohost of Live With Regis and Kelly, speaks of the perfection that is her marriage: "I've had a crush on my husband since the day I met him and I'm so pleased that I still do after all these years. The fact is, I'm very content in my marriage. We argue, but we know how to compromise."

And Mr. Consuelos? "I married way above my station," he quips.

Remember Harry's friends?

Do you? With all the H. Potter media frenzy concentrated on

Daniel Radcliffe

, we've forgotten to frenzy over the others. Not so

David Letterman

, who, USAtoday.com says, did frenzy over

Emma Watson

, who plays Hermione.

The 17-year-old thesp says she's become rich enough never to work again.

"But I would never want that," says Emma, who is applying to Cambridge University and may land a job as the next face of Chanel.

Isaiah goes 'Bionic'

After suffering through what felt like months of angst,

Isaiah Washington

- who made sure we all shared every milligram of his pain - has something to be happy about.

NBC yesterday announced that it had hired the actor who was recently fired from ABC's Grey's Anatomy for using homophobic slurs. NBC said Isaiah would be a guest star on this fall's remake of Bionic Woman.

USA Today says I.W. is also signing a sweet development deal to star in a potential action drama he pitched the network.

Katherine Pope, a wise and mighty NBC big shot who called Isaiah "a brilliant actor," said his recent bad press was moot: "I think people watch characters on TV, not personalities" in the news.

Trump limps back

In a sad attempt to resurrect a boring reality show hosted by the world's biggest narcissistic bore (who loves to hyperbolize), NBC is bringing back

The Apprentice

with a twist: It'll feature celeb contestants. The winner will no longer get a job with

Donald Trump

- which was the whole point and the appeal of the original show! - but will win money to donate to charities.

The Donald, who has yet to announce the cast, did say he had invited his archenemy Rosie O'Donnell to play. Rosie responded with an icy no.
