Philly's
the city that doesn't sleep? It was for
Rex Lee
, who plays
Jeremy Piven's
assistant on HBO's
Entourage
, who dropped in for the Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
After a Saturday night reading of the script for the forthcoming Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild, Lee attended an after-party with RuPaul. Since Lee's flight home to California was at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, he decided that an all-nighter was the way to go. The festival's Thom Cardwell took him to Little Pete's at 17th and Chancellor, packed at 2:30 a.m. with Entourage fans, eager to pose for photos.
Besides his work on Entourage, Lee says he just shot an episode of the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101.
Out and around
A "yes" answer to the "is-
Nicole Richie
-pregnant?" question:
Jonathan Makar
, who owns Rittenhouse Square's Snackbar, says the celebutante and
Good Charlotte
rocker
Joel Madden
stopped in Sunday night after visiting friends. Richie wanted to order the Génoise cake soaked in tres leches and was disappointed when her server warned that it's made with rum. She passed.
Mark Wahlberg attended the Arturo Gatti-Alfonso Gomez fight Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall. Wahlberg will star in The Happening, the next M. Night Shyamalan film, which starts shooting here Aug. 6 after a couple of days in New York City. Unlike Shyamalan's recent productions, this will employ such high-traffic areas as 30th Street Station.
The 15-month-old triplet sons of Bonnie and Michael Eckstein of Pottstown, born at Paoli Hospital, share the role of baby Spike - son of Zach and Kendall and grandson of Erica (Susan Lucci) - on ABC's All My Children. Besides Alexander, Benjamin and Caleb (ABC!), the couple have a 2-year-old, Christian.
Buzz
I'm hearing that The Inquirer's
Stephen A. Smith
is being considered to fill
Dan Patrick's
national ESPN radio show after Patrick leaves on Aug. 17. Smith, who hosts middays with
Mike Missanelli
on New York's ESPN station (1050 AM), declined comm ent. ESPN didn't return a call.
Can't smile
Tickets will go on sale Monday for
Barry Manilow's
Sept. 8 show at the Wachovia Center, but members of his fan club are grumbling at the prices they're being asked to pay. One Fanilow perk is access to prime seats at face value. But this time, they've been asked to pay either $410 or $270 for a "hot seat package," which includes parking and gifts but is priced higher than the top ticket tab of $253. Other tix are priced at $138 and $78, and $13 seats are being offered in the mezzanine. Manilow's people did not return requests for comment.
Erratum
Guillermo Pernot's
title was incorrect in Sunday's column. He is concept chef at Cubra Libre, not consulting chef.
