Villanova to host Vatican conference on sports and faith

Villanova University this summer will host a regional conference sanctioned by the Vatican on how sports and faith can promote positive social change.

The invite-only conference, scheduled for June 7 and 8, will bring together religious and business leaders, athletes and academics, media representatives and others of all denominations.

An inaugural conference was held at the Vatican in October and Pope Francis spoke about the importance of preserving fun and joy in sports and making sports accessible to all.
