IF IT'S APRIL, it must be time for the annual Lindback awards.

Seven school district principals will be honored today for their leadership, recipients of the Lindback Distinguished Principal Award given by the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation. The award goes to administrators who have "made significant leadership and humanitarian contributions to their schools and communities," a district statement read.

The $20,000 stipend each principal receives is to be used for their school community's benefit.

The seven principals will be honored at 4:30 p.m. today at the Prince Music Theater, on Chestnut Street near Broad.

The Lindback principals and their schools are: Robin Cooper, William C. Longstreth Elementary School; Karren Dunkley, Parkway Center City High School; Stefan Feaster-Eberhardt, Dr. Ethel Allen Promise Academy; Dana Jenkins, Roxborough High School; Mickey Komins, Anne Frank Elementary School; Anthony Majewski, Hill-Freedman World Academy; and William Wade, Promise Academy at Martin Luther King High School.
