School district seeks feedback

WEST CHESTER The West Chester Area School District has drafted a new comprehensive plan and is seeking feedback from community members through Nov. 14.

According to the district, the plan was drafted with a driving question in mind: "What do we want to be able to say three years from now that we cannot say today?" It includes goals for closing achievement gaps and high school programming, among other things.

The plan is required by the state Department of Education and will be in effect from 2015 through 2018. It was drafted by 48 stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, parents, community members, and business leaders over the summer and fall.
