BLACKWOOD Applications for $1,000 Rohrer Scholarships are available for high school seniors from Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties who plan to attend Camden County College in the fall.

To be eligible, incoming students must attend a public or private high school in one of the three counties. They must also graduate with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.

The college plans to award as much as $129,000 in scholarships through its William G. Rohrer Scholarship Fund to members of the Class of 2014. The foundation has contributed $220,000 to the Camden County College Foundation for scholarships.

Before applying for the scholarship, incoming students must take the Accuplacer placement test and be deemed "college ready" - immediately able to take college-level English and mathematics courses. They also must file a free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) form.

Last year, the college distributed $53,000 in Rohrer Scholarships to 33 new and transferring students.
