Neshaminy may close one of its elementary schools

LEVITTOWN The Neshaminy School District could close one of its elementary schools next school year.

The school board will hold a special meeting Monday to consider scheduling a hearing on closing one of its eight elementary schools, reportedly Walter Miller, on Cobalt Ridge Drive in Levittown.

The 9,000-student district has been considering ways to consolidate its schools as buildings age and enrollment dips.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Maple Point Middle School.
