His baby mama wants to stop having sex

Q: I'm in a relationship with a prude. She calls me a pervert for wanting to see her naked, which hardly happens anymore. She calls me a pervert when I touch her on the butt. She found an old sex toy I had and threw it away, then called me strange for even having one. When I try to talk with her, she claims she's a lesbian and wants us to be together just to raise our kids. I'm not sure how much longer I can be in a sexless relationship.

When I try to talk with her, she claims she's a lesbian and wants us to be together just to raise our kids. I'm not sure how much longer I can be in a sexless relationship.

Steve: Wait, you two had kids and she didn't say she's lesbian? That makes no sense. But a compromise does: Stay together without living together to raise the kids. Seek other women for relationships.

Mia: It sounds to me like your partner is in mom mode, meaning she's more focused on taking care of the kids than on keeping her partner happy. It's a common phase in relationships. Women switch the G-strings and sexy nighties for T-shirts and sweats. They stop shaving their legs and focus more on what Little Ethan did at school than on their partner's sexual needs.

It could just be a phase she's going through. Don't dump her until you try counseling. Your children deserve to be raised in a house with both parents. If she won't go for help or if you don't get anywhere with a therapist, then it's time to consider about moving on. You shouldn't have to settle for a sexless existence.

Q: I think my roommate is getting turned on by the sound of me and my girlfriend having sex. I caught him recently lingering outside our bedroom door. Do I confront him about it? I'm weirded out. Other than that, he's a pretty nice guy.

Mia: Crank the music way up to cover the sound of your creaking bed and whatever other noises are coming from your bedroom. Better yet, do it on the floor, so you don't have to worry about the headboard hitting the wall. Don't let it stifle your fun, though.

Your roommate sounds a bit creepy to me. Ask him, "Did you want something last night?" If he says, "Why do you ask?," tell him you saw him outside your door. He'll probably deny it, but at least he'll know that you are aware of his creeping.

Steve: If being overheard is a problem, have sex when he's not around. Or perhaps you can try quiet sex for a change.
