What to do when boyfriend has too much of a good thing

Q: Here's a question I've never seen you address. What do you do if your boyfriend's penis is too big? Nobody talks about that. I don't want one that's pencil thin, but I don't want an anaconda coming at me either. I've had this problem with a few guys.

Mia: I can't figure out if you're complaining or bragging. Jokes aside, there can be such a thing as too much of a good thing, especially when a woman is post-menopausal.

When dealing with a Moby-sized member, time is your friend. In other words, lots of foreplay is advised as well as extra lube, toys, or whatever it takes to get you ready. Deep breathing may help you relax. Try woman-on-top position too, so you can control the depth of penetration.

Oh, and nix the anal sex. That might be a bit much, under the circumstances.

Steve: Big and small apply to both men and women, but it's only men who make a big deal about it. Luckily, sex has more variety than ice cream. The positions that hurt you can be abandoned for those that don't. If he loves you, he'll be happy to avoid hurting you.

Between them, Steve and Mia have logged more than a few decades in the single-and-dating world. They're also wise to the ways of married life. They don't always agree, but they have plenty of answers. Contact them at S&M c/o Daily News, 801 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19107 or steveandmia@phillynews.com.
