Michael Strahan isn't the only change coming to 'Good Morning America'

ABC to tweak 'GMA'

Good Morning America (locally on 6ABC WPVI-TV) is getting a bit of a face-lift.

Starting next Tuesday, network TV's most-watched morning show will have a new full-time copilot, Michael Strahan. The anchor and sports commentator made waves when he dumped Live and Kelly Ripa for GMA. What's more, starting Sept. 8, GMA's last half-hour will be set before a live audience of about 100 people.

Expect less hard news and more guests during the new segment. "It's a little more news you can use, a little more lifestyle, and those are the subjects that lend themselves to a live audience," GMA senior exec producer Michael Corn tells Variety.

There's a lot of cheddar riding on the changes: Last year, GMA raked in $405.5 mil in ad revenue for ABC.

Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, and news anchor Amy Robach are all still aboard.

Guns, immigration, Swift

Before debuting the video for his new single "Fade," Kanye West took the opportunity Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards to address his favorite topic: His genius. West spoke of his "Famous" vid that features the nude likenesses of celebs ranging from sometime nemesis Taylor Swift to Donald Trump.

"The audacity to put Anna Wintour next to Donald Trump," he said. "This is fame, bro. . . . We came over in the same boat, now we all in the same bed. Well, maybe different boats."

West addressed gun violence only to segue into a comment about Swift. "If you think about last week, there was 22 people murdered in Chicago," Kim Kardashian's hub said. "Like, people come to me, like, '[Darn] that's right, take Taylor,' like bro, I love all y'all. That's why I called her."

More 'VMA' notes

Swift didn't attend the kudosfest: She had to be in Nashville first thing Monday for jury duty. She wasn't picked for a trial and was sent home.

It's true: Beyoncé's 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, wore a $10,950 dress for the event. She modeled Mischka Aoki's "Grande Royalle" dress as she walked the red carpet holding her mom's hand.

A stab at unorginality

Blac Chyna, 28, who is expecting her first baby with Rob Kardashian, poses nude on the cover of Paper mag. She follows in the footsteps of Rob's sis Kim Kardashian, who pulled the stunt in 2014.

Blac and Rob star in E!'s new reality show Rob & Chyna.
