Sideshow: Central High student with angelic voice makes Ebony power list Boy chorister Bobby Hill makes Ebony Power List

Central High School student Bobby Hill was selected as one of Ebony magazine's 2015 Power 100 honorees. The list spotlights "the heroes of the black community."

The 14-year-old breakout star, a soloist with the Keystone State Boychoir, rose to prominence during Pope Francis' Philadelphia visit when he sang an a cappella version of "Pie Jesu." Hill's once-in-a-lifetime performance was a last-minute decision, said Steve Fisher, founder and artistic director of the choir. Fisher was approached by a concert producer who asked whether the choir could sing during a short set change. Instead, Fisher sent Hill out to sing alone. After his captivating performance, he did something even more impressive. He walked up to the pope, unscripted and unannounced, and presented him with a rock from the choir's 2009 trip to Antarctica.

Hill's singing captivated the nation, with Simon Cowell following him after watching his performance. Hill and the choir auditioned for Cowell's America's Got Talent recently and are waiting to hear back.

Hill will be flown to Los Angeles to sing at Ebony's 70th anniversary gala on Wednesday. Other Ebony honorees include Penn grad John Legend, Prince, Janelle Monae, and Will Smith offspring Jaden and Willow Smith.

In January, Hill will sing at the Philadelphia Orchestra's Academy Concert and Ball.

Doylestown's own Alecia Moore, a.k.a. pop megastar Pink, was named a UNICEF ambassador on Monday. Moore, inspired by a trip to Haiti, will help promote physical fitness (have you seen her abs?! That Pink lady is buff) and raise money to bring a nutritional peanut paste to malnourished kids across the globe.

Stoya, the porn actor, writer, and erstwhile Philadelphian, accused former boyfriend and costar James Deen of rape on Saturday. Since then, several other women have said they were assaulted by the well-known adult-film star.

Stoya tweeted, "That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks." She continued: "James Deen held me down and [expletive] me while I said no, stop, used my safe word. I just can't nod and smile when people bring him up anymore."

Stoya has yet to file charges and has gone silent on Twitter, but her accusations led two other women - adult-film actors Ashley Fires and Tori Lux - to come forward to accuse Deen, whom GQ described as the "Well-Hung Boy Next Door" in a 2012 feature by award-winning author Wells Tower. Joanna Angel, another one of Deen's exes and an industry veteran, tweeted her support. The hashtag #SolidarityWithStoya trended worldwide.

Deen vehemently denied the claims via Twitter. A sex advice column he wrote for the Frisky has been terminated.
