Sideshow: Roman Polanski: No extradition to U.S. (for now)

Ruling favors Polanski

Polish-born filmmaker Roman Polanski, 83, who in 1977 fled to Europe after pleading guilty to having sex with a minor in California, won't be extradited to America anytime soon. A Polish court on Friday ruled against the latest attempt by American authorities to have Polanski sent back here to face justice.

"I can breathe now with relief," the Oscar-winner told reporters in Krakow.

The victim, Samantha Geimer, has said she forgives Polanski.

Deso Dogg killed

German rapper Deso Dogg (Denis Cuspert), who made headlines when he joined the Islamist terror group ISIS, was killed in an Oct. 16 airstrike near Raqqa, Syria, the Department of Defense has announced.

"Cuspert was a foreign terrorist fighter and operative . . . who used social media to take advantage of disaffected youth and potential Western recruits," reads the Pentagon's statement.

Oh boy, Boy George!

Did Boy George, 54, really have sex with music genius Prince back in the day, as he claimed during a taping of BBC's The Voice, or was it just a joke? Born George Alan O'Dowd, the 1980s hitmaker dropped the bombshell while chatting with fellow Voice judges will.i.am, Ricky Wilson, and Paloma Faith.

A rep for the show tells People, "He was never being serious."

More 'Longmire' ahead

Netflix has renewed its postmodern Western, Longmire, for a fifth season. Based on the Craig Johnson novels, it stars Aussie thesp Robert Taylor as a Wyoming sheriff and Katee Sackhoff as his wisecracking Philly-born deputy.
