Off to twerk she goes

English actress Dame Helen Mirren dropped by Harvard University on Thursday to be honored as woman of the year by the school's Hasty Pudding Theatricals and showed the world an admirable twerk ethic. After an unsuccessful effort to sign the word twerk, Mirren, 68, uttered a curse and started to dance, according to the AP. The gorgeous Helen, who won an Oscar for playing Queen Elizabeth II, said the Hasty Pudding award beat being honored by Prince Charles as a Dame of the British Empire. Hasty Pudding Theatricals is America's oldest undergraduate drama troupe. Neil Patrick Harris will be honored as the group's man of the year on Friday. Last year's winners were Marion Cotillard and Kiefer Sutherland.

Coparazzi

A Miami Beach cop is in trouble for allegedly trying to take a picture of Justin Bieber during his recent brief stay in the local lockup. A police department rep confirmed that an unidentified female officer is being investigated for conduct unbecoming an officer, the Associated Press reports. Story goes that she attempted to capture the 19-year-old songster's handsome likeness as he whiled away the time in a temporary holding cell after cops took him in on charges of DUI, resisting arrrest, and driving with an invalid license. (His Bieberness has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.) A higher-ranking officer stepped in to halt the photo shoot. If the unbecoming-conduct charge sticks, the futile photog could face a range of penalties, from a verbal reprimand to firing.
