Robin Roberts has a lover

It's a woman. Get over it.

The veteran newscaster, who has been battling a rare blood disorder, on Sunday posted a year-end message of thanks on Facebook. "At this moment I am at peace and filled with joy and gratitude," she wrote. She thanked God, her doctors, and "long time girlfriend, Amber [Laign]." First lady Michelle Obama is cool with it. "I am so happy for you and Amber! You continue to make us all proud. –mo," she tweeted Monday.

Lily: They're Botoxed idiots

"Hard Out Here" singer Lily Allen is less than impressed by today's celebs. Allen, 28, who has two girls with her regular-Joe husband, Sam Cooper, tells the British edition of Esquire that kids today ain't authentic.

"I feel like when I was growing up and dreaming of being a pop star, it was the days of Britpop, when things felt authentic and anarchic, and people were taking drugs and having a lot of fun and having sex with each other, and it wasn't fake, it was real," she says. "So excuse me if I found it a bit disappointing when I arrived and it was a bunch of sterile [bleep] Botoxed idiots that stank of desperation."

We love her.

Britney Spears' blood . . .

. . . pumps music, music, music!

The "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" singer wants the world to know she's all grow'd up. She'd better be: She has a two-year, 98-performance residency contract at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's 7,000-seat Axis theater in Sin City, which kicked off Friday. Brit, 32, is like three decades younger than most musicians who put themselves out to pasture as a Vegas resident performer.

"It's in my blood to perform," Brit tells USA Today. "Performing is my therapy, to become different people onstage."

Tidbits 'n' pieces

Byliner.com has posted two previously unpublished short stories by the late great Elmore Leonard, who died in August. . . . Gabrielle Union's fiance, Dwyane Wade, fathered a child while the couple were on a break. It's an issue they're working through, says People.
