Sideshow: 'Glee' creator reveals show's original ending

An ended ending Glee creator Ryan Murphy always had an ending in mind for his musical series. That is, until star Cory Monteith died. "I have never shared [it] with anyone, but I always knew it. I've always relied on it as a source of comfort," Murphy said at a private memorial in July for Monteith in comments published in the new Entertainment Weekly.

An ended ending

Glee creator Ryan Murphy always had an ending in mind for his musical series. That is, until star Cory Monteith died. "I have never shared [it] with anyone, but I always knew it. I've always relied on it as a source of comfort," Murphy said at a private memorial in July for Monteith in comments published in the new Entertainment Weekly.

"At the end of season 6, Lea [Michele]'s Rachel was going to have become a big Broadway star, the role she was born to play. Finn [Monteith] was going to have become a teacher, settled down happily in Ohio, at peace with his choice."

Then Rachel would walk into Finn's school's glee club.

"I'm home," she'd say.

Yes, it's probably true

A live telecast of Billy Joel performing in Brooklyn will be featured on ABC's Ryan Seacrest-hosted New Year's extravaganza from Times Square. . . . Sofía Vergara has posted a selfie on WhoSay while on a Mexican vacation. She's shown wearing a floss-thin thong thing and fiancé Nick Loeb. . . . Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their six kids are multimillionaires, but they were spied shopping at a Target near Queensland, Australia, says Gold Coast Bulletin.

Soft-hearted Jack

Remember when Jack Nicholson did some (figurative) heavy breathing all over Jennifer Lawrence when she won her Oscar last winter? Seems he followed up his comments about her talent with romantic action.

"He sent me some flowers and a bottle of Cristal," Jen now tells ABC News, "and a note saying, 'Missing you already.' "

Added Jen, "Not to brag. . . . I should've probably kept that a secret."
