"There has never been a human being that I never met that I loved as much as him - ever," the thesp says on the extra features on the Lincoln Blu-ray/DVD release. "I doubt there ever will be." So deeply was Day-Lewis immersed in the spiritual and mental viscera of Lincoln, he found himself at an existential impasse after he finished the pic. "You're not quite sure what to do with yourself when it's finished," he says. "It's very hard to conceive of any life after it. Of course there is one waiting. Usually quite impatiently."

Will Smith: I wanted 'Django'
Will Smith tells Entertainment Weekly he was offered the Jamie Foxx role in Quentin Tarantino's violent western Django Unchained but turned down the role because it wasn't really and truly the film's lead role. Django, he says, was a secondary character to the bounty hunter, played by Christoph Waltz.
"Django wasn't the lead, so it was like, 'I need to be the lead.' The other character was the lead!" Smith says.
He added that he pleaded with Quentin to expand the role so he could take it.
"I was like, 'No, Quentin, please, I need to kill the bad guy.' "
