LiLo in a car crash; Miss. Pa. gets sued; Click and Clack put on the brakes!

Lindsay Lohan presented herself at a Los Angeles hospital ER on Friday afternoon after surviving a nasty car crash, and was released less than two hours later, her rep said. TMZ says the Liz & Dick star slammed her gorgeous black Porsche into the back of an 18-wheel truck on the Pacific Coast Highway. Her car was totaled.

Witnesses tell TMZ that LiLo, who was driving, and her passenger (reportedly it's her assistant) suffered cuts and bruises. But both were ambulatory and showed no signs of serious injuries; both underwent tests.

TMZ says LiLo claims she was caught unawares when the 18-wheeler cut her off.

The Miss Pennsylvania fracas has finally turned into an official debacle.

Former Miss Penna. Sheena Monnin resigned her dread crown this week, claiming the Miss USA contest is rigged. On Friday she was hit with a 10-ton 18-wheeler of a defamation lawsuit care of the Miss USA org and its owner, comb-over power-broker Donald Trump.

TMZ says the suit was filed in a private court because of a stipulation in Monnin's contract that disputes be settled in private arbitration. What does the org want? "Significant damages," TMZ says.

The Donald on Thursday said he was incensed by Monnin's allegations, to wit that the top five finalists on Sunday's live program were prepicked. He gave the Pittsburgh native 24 hours to recant before unleashing his legal hellhounds.

Monnin threw his offer back in his face by repeating her allegations Friday morning on NBC's Today.

She has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Jessica Chastain, who was all business as a Mossad assassin in The Debt, has been hired as the face of Yves Saint Laurent's scent Manifesto. YSL, JC tells Women's Wear Daily, "inspires me deeply. ... Kim Kardashian's discarded TV-show accessory, Kris Humphries, has sicced his lawyer on one Fatmire "Myla" Sinanaj, whom TMZ says he's been dating since January, to force her to stop telling people she's his girlfriend.

TMZ says Sinanaj, a dead ringer for Kris' estranged wife, Kim (wonder what a therapist would say about that!), is being pressured into signing a confidentiality agreement about her time making time with Kris in return for cash.

Alas, world, it's curtains for the popular NPR radio show Car Talk. Ray and Tom Magliozzi, better known as Click and Clack, the Tappett Brothers, say that as of September they'll park the show in the garage after 25 years (35 with originating station WBUR in Boston). Tom's 74, Ray 63. Reruns of their 1,200-plus NPR shows will be on many stations, but no new shows. Four million listeners over 600 stations now will have to figure out their car troubles themselves!
