SO WHAT has Tony Bruno been up to since leaving 97.5 the Fanatic?

He's about to get his podcast on.

Bruno tweeted yesterday that he's launching a podcast, and it isn't just some folly. It's a full-time gig. I hear that he's teaming up with Kyle Scott, of CrossingBroad.com - the irreverent sports blog that broke such stories as Riley Cooper's racist tirade against concert security - in order to bolster their brands and merge audiences. I hear that Bruno's podcast will focus on Philly sports, with a little national talk sprinkled in, while Scott will go with a longer-form interview format.

Bruno will record his first podcast at the Jughandle (1018 S. Fork Landing Road, Cinnaminson, N.J.) on Monday, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Podcasting is a new frontier for Bruno, who left the Fanatic over a contract dispute back in June. While other opportunities have been presented to Bruno, like a weeklong fill-in stint at San Francisco's 95.7 the Game, he wanted to stay in his hometown.

I reached out to Scott, who said that Bruno will be taking questions on Crossing Broad at noon today in an open Q&A format, much like Reddit's Ask Me Anything. Bruno will also be a guest on the relaunch of Scott's podcast.

'70s actor honored

Actor Wilmer Valderrama, who is best known for playing foreign-exchange student Fez in long-running sitcom "That '70s Show," will be honored on Saturday at the Hispanic Choice Awards at the Merriam Theater, along with singer and composer Luis Enrique, a/k/a "The Prince of Salsa." CBS3's Todd Quinones will present at the event.

CBS3 in lights

"The Doctors," which airs at 9 a.m. weekdays on CBS3, will salute the affiliate and Susan G. Komen Philadelphia on today's show for the "Lights for the Cure" initiative that lit up buildings around Philly in pink to raise awareness for breast-cancer research. The show will broadcast images from the CBS3/CW building, Boathouse Row, Battleship New Jersey, Cira Centre, Central Library, Pennsylvania Convention Center and BNY Mellon Center. CBS3 lit up the skies in a ceremony on Wednesday.

From Broad Street to 'The Voice'

Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton didn't turn their chairs for Fishtown's Jimi Mulligan when he performed on NBC's "The Voice," but that didn't bother the 35-year-old father of four.

"I got to sing in front of 13 million people," said Mulligan, who belted the Temptations' "Get Ready." "I was pretty content."

Mulligan, a working musician in the Big House Band, got his start in music because he wanted to be a Mummer, picking up the saxophone at age 13 to play in the Fralinger String Band. When he performed on the show, he got so many texts and calls from fellow Mummers, he had to turn his phone off. "People always trash the parade and [give it] a bad rap, but it's really a great community," Mulligan said. "The Mummers have their black eyes, but this community will rally around you and support you."

Want to be a 'Millionaire'?

"Who Wants to be a Millionaire" will give you a chance to be just that on Thursday, from noon to 6 p.m. Auditions for the Terry Crews-hosted game show will take place at the Franklin Mills Dave & Buster's (1995 Franklin Mills Circle). Best to head there early as auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis. For more info, go to ph.ly/millionaire.

Decent proposal

Former Fox 29 reporter Sean Tobin proposed to gal pal Marie Williamson, an event planner with Affairs to be Remembered. Tobin got on bended knee on the 13th Street beach in Ocean City, N.J., the same one Williamson has been going to since she was a little girl.

Bon voyage!
