"Good Day Philadelphia" traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell is heading west to be near her boyfriend.
TRAFFIC REPORTER Kacie McDonnell announced on yesterday's "Good Day Philadelphia" that it was her last day at Fox 29.
The popular traffic reporter has decided to move closer to her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray (Murray's brother Josh recently won the heart of Andi Dorfman on "The Bachelorette"). Their relationship become public last year.
McDonnell tearfully said goodbye to her "Good Day" family, saying she will always be a Philly girl. She's going to KSHB 41 Action News, the NBC affiliate in Kansas City, where she'll be the morning traffic reporter.
On Thursday night, McDonnell teased her decision on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram but later deleted the posts.
The former Miss Teen Pennsylvania rose to prominence rather quickly, getting the "Good Day" traffic job shortly after graduating from Villanova University in 2012.
While working on her communications/journalism degree, McDonnell worked as a model, appearing in a commercial for Fiat Maple Shade and logging time as a QVC on-air personality.
