Fox29's Steve Keeley talks about becoming a viral sensation after snow plow video

The plowdriver had no idea he hit Keeley.

THE PLOW DRIVER'S wife made him apologize to Steve Keeley. The Fox 29 reporter became a viral sensation yesterday when he was reporting on the snowfall from Woodstown, N.J., and was pummeled with snow as the plow rolled past while still in the shot.

Trouper that he was, Keeley continued his train of thought - discussing (very) former Phillie Hilly Filtcraft, of the 1942 team.

But Michael Wyatt, the plow driver, didn't get off so easily. His wife, Michelle, made him call and apologize to Keeley, who assured Wyatt everything was fine. Wyatt, who says he watches Fox 29, didn't know he turned Keeley into a snowman. His first thought upon learning about covering Keeley in snow? "I hit the big news guy."

Keeley says he was fine after the snowfall, although he got calls from people like Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood, a local politician vacationing in Florida and his veterinarian. But it was his cameraman, Greg Gilroy, who got the worst of it (although, he was fine as well).

"I knew instantly it would go viral. I spent my whole career trying to not be in the news and I knew in an instant this would be big," Keeley told me about his viral fame. "I can't believe with all the stuff going on in the world that people care about this."

But Keeley laughed it off, later tweeting, "I knew I was in for a bad day when I saw an email from a fired Gov. [Chris] Christie staffer, 'Time for some plow troubles for Steve Keeley.'"

Philly gets 'Catfish'-ed

Nev Schulman and Max Joseph, the hosts of MTV's "Catfish" who are tasked with introducing online lovebirds who have yet to meet IRL (in real life, in Internet parlance), were spotted filming in Philly last week. Is the city in store for yet another online love story gone awry?

Possibly! But MTV reps say that they have no new info on the third season of "Catfish," a standard response to keep reality dealings under wraps. But I do know that Schulman and Joseph stopped by the Food Trust's corner store at 16th and Ontario to learn about the nonprofit's work. I hear they participated in a yogurt taste test and gave out 25 bananas to kids who stopped by after school.

'Impossible's' 100th

In other film location news, I hear part-time Philadelphian Marc Summers and celeb chef Robert Irvine filmed the 100th episode of their show, "Restaurant: Impossible," stopping by WHYY's studios last week. After the show, Irvine, Summers and crew held a wrap party at Lucky Strike Bowling (1336 Walnut St.), where they watched blooper reels and sipped Patron.

KYW, CBS3 Reunite

KYW Newsradio 1060 has officially moved into CBS3's digs at 15th and Hamilton. They haven't been in the same building since 2007, when they were at 5th and Market. KYW was recently at 4th and Market, before moving back in with their old bosom buddies. TalkRadio 1210 and 98.1 WOGL will move into KYW's old space, where SportsRadio WIP is already in residence.

OUT AND ABOUT

* Where did Allen Iverson party during his jersey-retirement weekend? I hear that he hit up Han Dynasty (123 Chestnut St.) and Soundgarden Hall (520 N. Columbus Blvd.). Joining Iverson was rapper Bun B, former Sixer Dikembe Mutombo, Washington Wizard John Wall, New Edition/Bell Biv DeVoe's Michael Bivins, boxer Simon "One Punch" Carr and our own style guru Big Rube Harley. Iverson stayed at the Four Seasons (1 Logan Square) where he ran into none other than my-man-pots-and-pans Jerry Blavat. Iverson was reportedly very excited to run into Blavat, calling out "Geator!" upon seeing the Golden Oldies DJ.

* Former "Apprentice" contestant and QVC host Erin Elmore threw a surprise 50th birthday party for her hubby, a2c IT Consulting CEO Craig M. Spitzer, this weekend at Avance (1523 Walnut St.), the restaurant of which the couple are part-owners. Guests included Comcast-Spectacor chairman Ed Snider and his wife, Lin; Brooklyn Nets GM Billy King; Philly Style mag publisher John Colabelli and his wife, Lauren; actor David Conrad ("The Ghost Whisperer," "Wedding Crashers"); and former "Bachelor"/"Bachelor Pad" contestant (and Erin's sister) Ashley Elmore.
