In moves that had been been anticipated for some time, Villanova on Thursday officially announced changes on its men's basketball staff that resulted from the departure of top assistant Baker Dunleavy after the season to become the head coach at Quinnipiac.

George Halcovage, who's been with the Wildcats since 2008, moves from director of basketball operations to assistant coach. He began as a graduate assistant. He joins Ashley Howard and Kyle Neptune, both of whom have been with Jay Wright since 2013 in that role.

"We are excited about [Halcovage] taking the next step in his career," Wright, who will be entering his 17th season in 2017-18, said in a release.

Former Villanova guard Mike Nardi (2003-07) becomes the director of basketball ops after serving as the video coordinator last season. He was the director of program development in 2015-16.

"He [has] a bright future in our business," Wright said.

Mike Clark, a former student manager who was a graduate manager the past two seasons, takes over as video coordinator. He will also have responsibilities in the areas of branding and marketing.
