Waffatopia, the Conshohocken-based maker of Belgian Liège-style caramelized waffles, will mark National Waffle Day — Thursday, August 24 — with giveaways and a donation drive to help Philabundance

Owners Andrea and Brian Polizzi will hand out free waffles at breakfast and lunch in Center City, outside Suburban Station at 17th Street and JFK Boulevard between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Between noon and 2 p.m., the "Waffamobile" will stop at 18th and Walnut Streets on Rittenhouse Square with more free waffles.

For those who won’t be in the city, the Polizzis will give out free waffles at their Conshohocken Waffatopia facility (1050 Colwell Lane, Suite 302) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 25 and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 26.

In conjunction with the giveaways, Waffatopia will donate 1 pound of waffles to Philabundance for every box of waffles purchased on www.waffatopia.com between National Waffle Day and Saturday, August 26 at midnight.
