A burger giveaway will mark the debut of Napoleon Burger at 4229 Main St. in Manayunk, starting at noon Oct. 4. The first 100 customers get the hook-up.
Napoleon is a new concept from Nick Farina, who moved his Union Taco down the street to 4161 Main St. almost seven months ago.
Story goes that Farina’s 11 year-old son, Alex, had the idea for the burger joint and wanted to be partners. Alex then said he would donate any salary to the Anti Bully Squad, a foundation run by kicker Brandon McManus of the Denver Broncos, a North Penn and Temple grad. While the first-day burgers will be free, the Farinas are asking for a donation.
Napoleon, serving burgers on potato rolls, will also feature crinkle-cut fries and milkshakes. Quarter-pound burgers are $5 apiece plus 50 cents per topping. The Standard Napoleon Burger ($5.50), includes American cheese, pickles, onion, and Napoleon sauce. There is also a black bean veggie burger option. The menu will also feature a double burger for $7, and a spicy burger “with a kick” to honor McManus, as well as a fried chicken sandwich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles for $6.
Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
