HAILENE WOODLEY

(

) walks the walk when it comes to her lifestyle and political beliefs.

The 24-year-old actress was arrested Monday in southern North Dakota during a protest at a construction site of the four-state, $3.8 billion Dakota Access pipeline.

The Hollywood Reporter says Woodley was arrested, with 26 others, for criminal trespass and engaging in a riot, both misdemeanors.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the protest was peaceful.

The planned pipeline - all 1,172 miles of it, about the distance from Philadelphia to Miami - would carry 400,000 barrels of crude oil from the Dakotas and Iowa to another pipeline in Patoka, Ill.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is against the pipeline because construction would disrupt sacred sites.

Environmental groups are against it because of drilling and climate change and the desire to look at renewable forms of energy.

Monday morning, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit rejected the Sioux Tribe's request for an injunction to halt construction.

Woodley was using Facebook live when she was ordered by police to leave the site.

"I was just told that the cops are following me," Woodley told her livestream. "Send some prayers."

A few minutes later, she said: "I was just walking back to my RV, which is right there, so we can go back to camp peacefully, and they grabbed me by my jacket and told me I wasn't allowed to continue, and they had giant guns and batons and zip ties, and they're not letting me go."

Woodley asked the police if she was being arrested because people knew who she was while so many other protesters were allowed to leave.

"You were identified," the officer said.

Woodley, ended her stream, which her mother was shooting, by saying, "I hope you're watching, mainstream media."

She was taken to Morton County Jail, 16 miles away. Her charges carry a maximum punishment of 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.

Bush talk

Yesterday morning on

Today

, regarding the

Access Hollywood

bus talk between

Donald Trump

and

Billy Bush

.

Al Roker: "As you can see, Billy Bush is not joining us today . . . "

Tamron Hall: "NBC, which owns Access Hollywood, has suspended Billy for his role in that conversation, pending further review."

Billy Bush's statement (from Friday): "Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed.

"It's no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago - I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry."

He was 33 at the time.

Access Hollywood Live co-host Natalie Morales yesterday to Bush friend and former co-host Kit Hoover: "Kit, I know this has been a tough time because Billy is a good friend to us."

Kit Hoover: "I don't even know where to begin with all of this ... The tapes are inexcusable. But I'm watching this tape, and I'm watching this person - those tapes were a decade ago, and it was seven minutes of someone's life. And all I can tell you is what I know and the person that I sat next to for the last six years, and that person for me is a totally different person.

"He always treated me with kindness, such respect. He treated me like an equal from Day One. And I think anybody that watched our show at home and saw us together knew how much he rooted for me and (was) really always in my corner, and there's really a teamwork with both of us out there.

"It was just devastating to watch how all of this has unfolded. The Billy that I know, and that a lot of people would say has the biggest heart of anybody - and he is a good person."

Tattle: "Billy Bush may be a good person. He may be respectful to women, nice to children and small animals, and this may have been an aberration. But no one is an angel 24 hours a day, the mic was on, and he was with Donald Trump, who already had a 30-year reputation as a hound. The irony here is that a host from a celebrity "news" show that helped foster the growth of reality television and the constant coverage of celebrities (and what constitutes celebrity) got hoisted on his own petard."
