With her own vision of love, Mariah Carey's sister nabbed for prostitution

MARIAH CAREY's estranged sister Alison Carey, 55, was arrested for prostitution Friday in Saugerties, N.Y.
Police caught her by setting up a sting operation at an unidentified hotel, after identifying her through somewhat salacious internet advertising.
According to Patricia Doxsey of the Daily Freeman, one ad, with lyrics mimicking sister Mariah's 1995 hit "Fantasy," showed two photos of Alison and stated: "Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you, woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its, 'ITS SUCH A SWEET, SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.'"
Alison was sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Saugerties police say that if you've had contact with Alison, especially if you didn't use protection, you should see a doctor.
Tattle says that if you're making internet dates with 55-year-old hookers, you should definitely see a doctor.
'Don't Breathe' leaves box office gasping
The well-reviewed horror movie Don't Breathe has breathed some surprising life into the late summer box office. The low-budget thriller brought in $26.1 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Sony Pictures Marketing Chief Josh Greenstein noted how the movie continues Sony's summer of seeing successes with original films (The Shallows, Sausage Party ) that cost very little to make.
It's also the latest horror success for Hollywood this summer, which has seen films like Lights Out, The Conjuring 2, and The Purge: Election Year thrive while their bigger budget, spectacle-driven counterparts flailed.
"As it turns out horror is the least scary genre this summer, especially to the bean counters in Hollywood," said Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst for box office tracker comScore. "(They) can almost always be counted on to make money."
Suicide Squad finished second after its three week run atop the box office. This weekend, the comic book film grossed $12.1 million, bringing its domestic total to $282.9 million.
Kubo and the Two Strings took third place in its second weekend in theaters with $7.9 million. The $60 million film has now earned $24.8 million domestically.
Sausage Party earned $7.7 million for a fourth place finish and an $80 million domestic total.
The Jason Statham-led sequel Mechanic: Resurrection, placed fifth in its opening weekend with $7.5 million.
Among specialty releases, the Barack and Michelle Obama first date movie Southside With You launched in 813 theaters to an estimated $3.1 million, while the Roberto Duran boxing biopic Hands of Stone opened in 810 theaters to $1.7 million.
Osgood as it gets
Genial news veteran Charles Osgood, who joined CBS radio 49 years ago, announced Sunday that he will be retiring as host of CBS News Sunday Morning on Sept. 25.
Osgood took over from original host Charles Kuralt, another affable sort, in 1994.
"For years now, people - even friends and family - have been asking me why I continue doing this, considering my age," Osgood, 83, said in his brief remarks. "It's just that it's been such a joy doing it! ... It's been a great run, but after nearly 50 years at CBS ... the time has come."
And then he sang a few wistful bars from a favorite folk song: "So long, it's been good to know you. I've got to be driftin' along."
No successor has been named.
The program continues to be a ratings leader. With a year-to-date audience of nearly 6 million viewers, it consistently tops rival Sunday morning news shows.
Probably because it's not so partisan and shrill.
The show was always more like curling up with the Sunday paper, and from a time when people still curled up with the Sunday paper.
Osgood said he will not be going away completely and will occasionally appear on the program or be heard on the radio delivering another installment of "The Osgood File."
TATTBIT
* Usually, when there's a surprise at a wedding, it has to do with a weird bridesmaid-groomsman hookup or the realization that granny can drink you under the table.
Not that Tim McGraw shows up at your party on North Broad Street.
But at the wedding of Secane's Lisa White and Paul Getz Saturday night at Cescaphe Event Group's Vie (600 N. Broad St.), Lisa's dad arranged for McGraw to surprise everyone with a performance of "My Little Girl" for the father/daughter dance.
McGraw went over so big, he kept singing his hits, accompanied by Kurt Tichenell and Jellyroll.
That so takes the pressure off the dessert table.
