Rose McGowan not 'Charmed' by Caitlyn Jenner's view of women

Also in Tattle: More Charlie Sheen, ‘SNL,’ Carly Simon and ‘Soup’

Say something questioning Caitlyn Jenner's womanhood and you're bound to wind up in the middle of our latest culture war.

Rose McGowan doesn't care.

When Glamour magazine honored Caitlyn with one of its Women of the Year awards, Buzzfeed asked her, "What's the hardest part for you about being a woman?"

Caitlyn's response: "The hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear. It's always that way; I never thought it would come to this. I had really no sense of style. Everyone around me in my family had the sense of style - I learned as much as I possibly could. But, it's more than that. I'm kind of at this point in my life where I'm trying to figure this womanhood thing out. It is more than hair, makeup, clothes, all that kind of stuff. There's an element here, that I'm still kind of searching for. And I think that'll take a while. Because I think as far as gender, we're all on a journey. We're all learning and growing about ourselves. And I feel the same way."

Well, at least we now know that Caitlyn seems as vapid as the other women in her family.

McGowan, however, was having none of it. In a since-deleted Facebook post noticed by the Washington Post, McGowan wrote, "Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us - well learn us. We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you. You're a woman now? Well f---ing learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege.

"Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight. Being a woman comes with a lot of baggage. The weight of unequal history. You'd do well to learn it. You'd do well to wake up. Woman of the year? Not by a long f---ing shot."

The Daily Sheen

An unidentified source of In Touch magazine says Charlie Sheen believes he contracted HIV "from a transsexual who is HIV-positive."

In Touch also learned that it wasn't just Charlie's sex partners who were being bought off for their silence.

"There's video of Charlie having sex with a transsexual. The video was going to the highest bidder," the source said. "So Charlie had his team come in and buy it off the market. He thought it would destroy his life if it got out."

Is there really a market for a video of Charlie Sheen having sex with someone transgender?

Martin Sheen ("The West Wing") says he wishes he had the courage of son Charlie.

Martin spoke Tuesday during an event at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Fla., hours after Charlie's appearance on NBC's "Today."

According to the Naples Daily News, Martin said Charlie had been working up to the announcement for months with his family's encouragement.

Martin said that as he watched his son reveal "his deepest, darkest secret, I couldn't believe the level of courage I was witnessing, and that it was my son."

We're not sure "courage" is the word we'd use to describe Charlie since he seemingly didn't tell his sex partners.

TATTBITS

In Touch magazine reports that Josh Duggar is being sued by porn star Danica Dillon (a/k/a Ashley Stamm-Northup) alleging that Josh twice committed battery against her when they had sex last March and April - reportedly in Philadelphia.

She's seeking $500,000.

If Josh doesn't settle, he may have to take the stand and answer to all his non-pious behavior.

* "Saturday Night Live" has announced that Ryan Gosling will host for the first time on Dec. 5. Chris Hemsworth will host (for the second time this year) on Dec. 12. The Christmas show, the following week, will be jointly hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey - musical guest Bruce Springsteen.

* No "Soup" for you!

The E! Entertainment network is pulling the plug on "The Soup," its weekly show with host Joel McHale that mocks other TV series.

McHale has been host for 12 years, and the network said yesterday that he will do the final show on Dec. 18.

Carly Simon tells People magazine that the second verse of her infamous song "You're So Vain" is about Warren Beatty.

She added that Beatty "thinks the whole thing is about him!"

* For the 30th year in a row, Tattle has not been selected People's Sexiest Man Alive.

This year it's David Beckham.
