Sofia Vergara sued by ex so she can't crack eggs

Also in Tattle: Gisele Bundchen walks final runway, Captain Marvel news and more

IN WHAT could turn out to be a real "Modern Family," Nick Loeb, the ex-fiance of Sofia Vergara, is suing the Colombian bombshell to prevent her from destroying the fertilized eggs they created when they were a couple, TMZ.com reports.

Loeb, it seems, still wants to have her baby.

Is this going to be another Diane Sawyer interview?

According to TMZ, Loeb claims that he and Sofia made a contract nearly two years ago in which they agreed to attempt to have children by means of in vitro fertilization.

Her eggs were fertilized by his sperm and are being kept frozen at the type of Beverly Hills spot that does this type of thing.

Sofia now reportedly wants to scramble the eggs since she and Nick are no longer a couple, but Nick wants to nix it.

According to TV3.ie, Nick wants to save the embryos because he believes" life begins at conception."

In Touch magazine says that he filed suit (as John Doe) in California on April 1, but this is no April Fool's joke.

"Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos," an insider said.

Nick is also suing the embryo storage place, claiming that it never decided what would happen if he and Sofia split.

Now Sofia is talking babies again with new flame Joe Manganiello: "My son, Manolo, is 23 years old, which is going to be really weird if I have another baby," she said. "But, you know, Joe wants babies and if it's going to make him super-happy, then . . ."

So get ready for "Magic Mike 3: Super Happy."

Catwalk finale

Gisele Bundchen, the Brazilian superdupermodel who's also married to SuperDuper Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady, is walking the runway for what is believed to be the final time at this week's Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

Gisele says she wants to spend more time with her family. The busy clothes-hanger, ABC News reports, is the face of Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Pantene and other top brands. She also designs her own line of lingerie and flip-flops - because if you want to look like one part of Gisele's body, it's her feet.

Yesterday, Gisele Instagrammed: "Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business.

"I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey," she wrote.

And what a journey. Last year, Forbes estimated she earned $47 million. The next closest models were Holland's Doutzen Kroes and fellow Brazilian Adriana Lima, at $8 million each.

Captain Marvel news

After Daily News Comics Guy Jerome Maida got an early look at "Avengers: Age of Ultron" at Disney Studios this past weekend, he got a sit-down with Marvel Studios' main man, Kevin Feige, about the film and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Feige told Comics Guy that the casting of the lead for "Captain Marvel" (Marvel's equal to DC's Wonder Woman) is going to be announced very soon.

The top three rumored candidates include Jennifer Lawrence, which would explain why she said she was done with the "X-Men" franchise, despite a desire by Fox for "Mystique" solo films. Playing Marvel's most powerful superheroine is about the only gig that would be more lucrative and high-profile.

Charlize Theron is also in the running. She has an Oscar on her shelf, which Marvel seems to like, she looks the part and might be an easier sell as a seasoned Air Force veteran than Lawrence.

Also constantly mentioned as in the running is Katee Sackhoff, already famous for playing another tough pilot, Starbuck, in "Battlestar Galactica" a few years back.

Read more about Feige and "Avengers" as we head into the movie's opening and Wizard World Philly Con Week.

TATTBITS

* Kikar HaShabbat, an Israeli ultra-Orthodox Jewish news website, has cut Kim Kardashian out of a photo taken in Jerusalem.

The original photo of Kardashian, her husband, Kanye West, and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat was altered to put Kardashian behind a restaurant receipt. Kim was blurred in another.

Nissim Ben Haim, an editor at the website, said yesterday that they removed Kardashian because she's a "pornographic symbol" who contradicts ultra-Orthodox values.

Couldn't you just say you were sick of looking at her?

Daniel Craig, who won international acclaim playing James Bond, received a special mission on Tuesday when United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed the actor as the first U.N. Global Advocate for the Elimination of Mines and Explosive Hazards.

In a brief ceremony at U.N. headquarters, Ban thanked Craig for his commitment to support the U.N.'s vision for a world free from the threat of land mines and explosive remnants of war.

Watch your step, Mr. Bond.
